No start and no finish. Every inch is filled with curling line that doubles back on itself, drawn by hand with acrylic paint markers, and it took a while. It comes straight out of years of notebook doodling — pages of this, filled in on sales calls — scaled up to 4ft x 4ft. I almost called it Brainstorming. The title is the method: a thought that won't stop going over itself.
The first time I put this line on canvas was a set of four small panels I called Thoughts on Canvas, black loops over orange, blue and yellow, shown at The Yard in 2019. This is the same thought, five years on and sixteen times the size.
