Mine are originals — every one of my paintings is one of one, and I don't make prints of them. As other artists join, some may work digitally or in editions; each listing says exactly what the piece is.

Right now, me — Charles Black — with 38 works in the catalogue. Other artists are being brought on in 2026 and each piece will say who made it.

By size, basically. Height plus width times a fixed rate, rounded to the nearest fifty dollars, then nudged where a piece took a lot more or a lot less than its size suggests. Two paintings the same size cost about the same. Prices hold — I don't run sales on originals.

The majority. The exact split varies with the work involved — a piece found on the site is different from a piece placed into a hotel contract — and it's agreed with the artist in writing before anything sells.

No. Everything ships unframed on gallery-stretched canvas with painted edges, ready to hang. The exception is No. 039, the 9ft canvas, which ships rolled. A float frame suits stretched canvas best and any framer can fit one; for trade orders I coordinate framing to spec.

Within five business days, packed properly and insured for the full value. Local delivery in the New York metro area is available — ask.

No. Every work is made to order or one of one, and all sales are final. That's why every product page has exact dimensions, a to-scale room view and close-ups — and why I'll send more photos, a short video, or a mock-up on your own wall before you buy. If something arrives damaged, tell me within 48 hours with photos and I'll make it right through the shipping insurance.

Yes. Send the size, the palette and when you need it, and I'll tell you what it would cost.

Every piece has a catalogue number written on the back and ships with a signed certificate of authenticity that matches it.

Yes, and it costs you nothing. I hang originals on your walls, label each one so a guest can buy it on the spot, and you take a share of any sale. Details on the For venues page.

I handle the payment, the shipping and the paperwork — your staff never touch a transaction. The venue takes its share, the artist takes the majority, and I swap in another piece so the wall doesn't go empty.
