Lease a painting

Original paintings by the month, for offices, stagings, shoots and shows. You pay for the time, not the painting.

Who this is for

  • Offices and lobbies that want real work on the wall without a capital purchase. Swap it out every six months if you like.
  • Home stagers and brokers — one big canvas changes how a listing photographs. Out in a week, back when it sells.
  • Productions — film, TV, stills. A 6ft black-and-white diptych reads on camera; one of mine already has.
  • Events and pop-ups — a few days to a few weeks.

Rates

Roughly 6% of the catalogue price per month, with a two-month minimum and delivery, hanging and collection in New York included. A 3ft x 3ft at $1,750 is about $105 a month; a 5ft x 6ft at $3,200 is about $190; the 10ft diptychs around $265. For a week-long shoot or event, ask for a flat rate. If you decide to keep it, the first three months come off the price.

How it runs

  1. Pick from the catalogue or tell me the walls and I'll propose a set.
  2. A one-page agreement: dates, pieces, who insures it (usually you, under your contents policy — I'll give you the values).
  3. I deliver and hang. I collect when the term ends, or we extend.
