Hold a painting & home trial
Two ways to buy a big painting without guessing. Hold it for a week while you decide, or hang it at home first.
Hold a painting
If you're close but not there yet, put a hold on it: Hold a painting, $100, and tell me which one. I take it off the site for seven days so no one else can buy it, and the $100 comes off the price when you do. If you pass, I refund it. No questions, no follow-up.
Home trial, New York only
In the five boroughs and nearby I'll bring the painting to you, hang it where it's going, and leave it for seven days. You pay in full first; if it isn't right, I collect it and refund everything but a $150 delivery fee. Most people know in the first hour. Nobody has sent one back yet, but the offer stands.
To arrange it, buy the piece and put "home trial" in the order note, or email me first.
Paying over time
Checkout offers instalments through Shop Pay on anything under its limit. For larger pieces and commissions I'll take half up front and half on delivery — just ask.
Everything else
Outside the home trial, all sales are final — every piece is one of one and I catalogue it as sold the moment it leaves. Each painting ships with a signed certificate of authenticity; here's what that covers. Questions: charles.s.black@gmail.com.
