Artsy: your guide to the art world this fall

Arun Kakar lays the whole season out: Frieze Seoul and Kiaf in early September, Art Basel Paris in October, Art Basel Miami Beach in December, and museum openings including a Roy Lichtenstein retrospective at the Whitney and the long-promised Guggenheim Abu Dhabi in December. Two major auction weeks sit inside the same sixteen weeks.

What I take from it. If you're in New York this autumn, the Lichtenstein at the Whitney is the one for anyone who likes hard edges and flat colour — the opposite of what I do, which is a good reason to look. And December in Miami is when a lot of first-time buyers are shown prints and told they're art. Don't.
